Policy Information
Please read the policies below before registering your child.
-
The virtual workshop consists of five (5) sessions in total, occurring once a day Monday-Friday of your selected week. Each session is 60-minutes for rising 4th-6th grade students and 75-minutes for 8th and 9th grade students.
Each session must begin and end promptly at the scheduled time. Students who are more than 15 minutes late will not be permitted to join the Zoom meeting. Parents will be notified of absence or late arrival via email after the session. Makeup sessions are not offered in cases of absence or late arrival.
You will receive detailed instructions for accessing the Zoom meeting and the workshop’s Google Classroom page one week before the first meeting. In order to support a smooth learning experience, please ensure an adult is nearby to help troubleshoot technology issues, especially on the first day.
-
Students must have their workspace ready before the start time, including snacks and/or beverages. A quick bathroom break will be provided halfway through the session. If your child finds it helpful to use headphones, glasses, special seating or a fidget, please ensure these items are on hand and that your child is able to use them responsibly and independently.
Students’ cell phones must remain silent and out of reach throughout the session. Their computer must have notifications silenced for the duration of the session. Likewise, any program, app and/or tab not associated with course content must remain closed, both for student attention and optimal computer functionality. If your child wears an Apple Watch, they must turn on Schooltime for the duration of the session. Please ensure the feature is set up and that they can access it independently.
Some off-task behavior is expected and developmentally appropriate given the context. However, excessive disruptions will be addressed with the parent(s) and course content and/or duration may need to be modified in order to ensure a successful experience for all participants. Refunds are not offered in the case of session modification.
If you’re not sure your child will be able to participate successfully, please set up a complimentary 15-minute consultation call with Beth before enrolling.
-
All families must complete the new student information form prior to the start of the workshop. Directions will be sent via email after submitting payment.
Families will receive an individual progress report for their child via email at the conclusion of the workshop. Digital copies of all workshop materials, including slideshows, resources and relevant tools will be shared via the Gmail address you provide on the student information form (sent via confirmation email).
The workshop will not include time to complete summer homework assigned by your child’s school. Summer homework will not be addressed at any point in the workshop.
Email and text communication are included in the workshop rate. Communication with parent or guardian(s), school personnel or other professionals by phone or in-person will be charged at an additional fee both during the workshop and in the future.
-
Workshop Only: This option does not include services during the school year. If your child might benefit from a few “check-in” sessions this fall, choose the “Add 3 Sessions” option to reserve space now at a discounted rate. If you request to book one-on-one sessions later, you will not receive the discount and space is not guaranteed.
Workshop + 3 One-on-One Sessions: You will receive three (3) one-on-one meetings with Beth to be booked on any Sunday you choose from 9/7-12/21/25. Scheduling information will be sent via email once enrollment is complete. Payment for all 3 sessions is included in this “add-on” rate. Refunds are not offered for unused sessions.
-
Full payment is due at the time of enrollment. Please verify your selected dates and times carefully, as refunds are not offered.
