ADHD Workshops

Teaching students about their unique brains so they can work with them

Befriend Your Brain!

An ADHD workshop for students

Beth has decades of experience teaching students with ADHD about ADHD. And she’s seen first-hand how transformative and empowering this process can be: They are NOT stupid or lazy— an all-too-familiar narrative. Their brain is wired differently, and it is just as capable of learning as everyone else’s. We’ll work together to figure out exactly what their brain needs to thrive so they can make more gains with less pain.

Drawing on her years as a classroom teacher, Beth uses relatable, real-life examples of ADHD’s impacts on learning that students can’t help but see themselves in. Coupled with Beth’s energy, warmth and transparency about her own ADHD, your child will immediately feel safe and know they aren’t alone.

What is it?

Four personalized, one-on-one virtual classes all about ADHD for newly diagnosed students in elementary (grades 3-5) or middle school (grades 6-8).

What will we learn?

With your child in the driver’s seat, we will design and create a personalized “Brain Book” (think user’s guide) detailing how their uniquely-wired brains learn best: strengths, struggles, what helps and what doesn’t. And everything is shared digitally, so they can actually find the information when they need it later!

SESSION 1: All About ADHD

What it is (and isn’t) and how we can take care of our ADHD brains

SESSION 2: ADHD and Me

How ADHD shows up for them at home and school

SESSION 3: Working with My ADHD Brain

What to do when their specific struggles make an appearance

SESSION 4: Parent Session

Beth will meet with you to share strategies, next steps, and answer any questions you may have.

How do I
get
started?

  • Schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation with Beth to learn more, answer any questions you have and generally assess if the class is a good fit for your child.

    Schedule your call today

  • Yes, you’re in charge, but they’re the ones who have to show up. The idea of sitting down with a stranger and talking about what’s hard for you would intimidate most adults. The same is true for young people. Make sure they want to learn about their ADHD before moving forward. Agency is everything.

Don't worry, Beth will provide you with a list of talking points you can refer to when previewing the classes with your child!

  • Once you decide to move forward, Beth will send along links to everything you need to get started: workshop policies, payment information, tech requirements, and a detailed online questionnaire for you to complete so she can get to know your child. You’ll share their interests, strengths, struggles… anything that can help Beth personalize her instructional materials and boost that just-for-them feeling.

Important Note: Sessions are booked on a first-come, first-served basis. The sooner you submit your paperwork, the sooner you can reserve your preferred days and/or times!

  • The hard part is over. Sit back, relax and Beth will see your child soon!
